Sunday, Sunday

I just didn't want to go to church today. I don't know why...just didn't. But I went. Usually when I follow through like that, I end up feeling better. Not so much today. It's a holiday weekend and I think that instead of half our ward going somewhere else, they all invited people here this time. There were extra kids in primary and it was a bit chaotic. I ended the block with a headache and really needing a nap. For two nights in a row, I've been up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. I think it's caught up with me. I could feel my brain zoning out while I was playing the piano in primary. Usually I can play and talk at the same time--couldn't do that today.

So...I think I'll fall asleep to some baseball and then work on my genealogy again. I need to get back to the temple. Maybe we can get back in our summer schedule of going every Friday. That would be nice. Ok...now I'm rambling. Good grief.

Speaking of Houses

This is the house we're seriously considering. In the first picture (kitchen), off to the left is another living area which, I think, has the same tile--but I honestly can't remember. It may have the laminate like the rest of the house. The next two pics are the same front room/dining room area. All of the bedrooms and hallway have the same laminate flooring. I'll need lots of area rugs if we get this house. The bedrooms are kinda small and I'm not sure where we'd put the computer, but it's in our price range and doesn't need too much "love." We'll see....

Ramblings at the End of Another Week

We're down to the last few days--eight to be exact. I took my choir to Sandy Lake on Wednesday. They sang well and received a 1st Division rating. So now, I'm really on the downhill slide. They're supposed to sing for the 4th and 5th grade awards assemblies, but beyond that...I'm done! Woo hoo! Sandy Lake went well except for the two kids who threw up. What's up with that? I've never had that happen before. At least their chaperones had to deal with it and not me. :-)

We looked at houses on Wednesday and we're going again tomorrow to look at another one. I wish we could afford what we really want, but we'll have to settle for what we can afford and what we need. Found one that has good potential. It's empty, so it shouldn't be a problem to paint and fix up before we move in. We'll just have to see. I'm excited about seeing the one tomorrow. It backs up to the lake which would be great for Richard and the boys especially. It's a little bit more than we really wanted to pay, but we'll just have to wait and see. It's such a huge decision. We don't want to settle, but I don't want to be "house-poor" either. Eh...we've got some time. We'll keep looking and praying and see where the right place is. I know it's out there.

Stealing Ideas

I had the best Kindergarten class today and it was all due to my friend, Suzanne. I stole her idea of choosing songs that she used in Primary on Sunday. Figured I'd steal it exactly, but then realized that I didn't have time this morning to cut out and laminate the pieces I needed. So...I just made a list of songs, cut them out into individual song titles and put them into a big ole hat that I have from a different game. The kids loved it--they loved the excitement of seeing which song would be next. And we didn't even get to all of them! Guess I know what I'm doing for the next three weeks of Kindergarten! LOL

So...THANKS, SUZANNE!!! I plan to be stealing ideas from you for the rest of our primary time. :-)

Ramblings

Thirteen more days...thirteen more days...thirteen more days. Can I really make it? At least there are some fun parts in there. The choir goes to Sandy Lake on Wednesday--and a couple of friends from church are chaperoning. So that's a whole day away from school. (Whoops...guess I should make up some kind of lesson plan for my classes that day.) But it's my evil Wednesday classes. Yay! I honestly can't remember if I scheduled it that way on purpose or not, but I'm grateful!

Then there will be awards assemblies and play days and things like that. Hopefully the next three weeks will fly by. Oh! And Memorial Day. Next weekend is a long weekend! Woo hoo!

Looking for houses. Haven't heard from our realtor since Spring Break. Happened to see her today since her daughter was auditioning for the Honor Choir. So after the audition I just asked her if she'd found any houses for us yet. I gave her my email again and we made a tentative date for house hunting next weekend. There are a couple that have come up in the last week that look promising. And I know that Richard doesn't want to have a garage sale, but I want to move as little as possible. Seriously. If it doesn't belong in the new house, I don't want to move it! So...we'll see. Can't really do anything yard-sale-wise until after the reunion.

James passed his belt test yesterday. He's not an 8th keup yellow belt. Someday I'm going to figure out how to d/l pictures from my phone onto my computer so I can post them here. Someday. Anyway, he hadn't tested since September! Ok...I'm going to have to be more on top of that. That's just dumb. At $155/month, he ought to be progressing better than that. Oh well.

So...those are my ramblings for today. Ready for your nap now?

Great Website

So I discovered the Church's latest familysearch website yesterday. It becomes available at different times in different temple districts. I LOVE IT! It makes me excited to get back to the temple and get the work done for my family. This website shows you what needs to be done and where you are in the process. It makes it much less daunting than before--at least to me. I've been playing with it all weekend! Happy Mother's Day to me!
